Care Physicians Advantage Northern California-based Physicians’ Advantage offers medical billing services as well as provides technical support to doctors’ practices for the major medical office programs, such as WinClaim, Claims Loader 2010 and Medesoft. The company often has to electronically transfer large amounts of data such as software updates and data files for their software support services; for the billing services they transfer insurance claim data from their doctors, and finally to the payors. "I recommend DropChute to all my clients," said Todd Davis, Physicians Advantage president. "We actually wrote a file transfer utility to handle the data transfer, which we offer to our clients, but recommend they use DropChute—it’s much easier and offers security without any extra steps." Davis said billing personnel within the doctors’ practices easily understand DropChute’s drag and drop interface. Doctors also feel more comfortable turning their livelihood—their billings—over to Physicians’ Advantages, as they understand the information is protected when it’s transferred. On their end, however, they don’t need "encrypt" or "decrypt" anything—DropChute takes care of it. Also, Davis is able to use the chat and voice communications in DropChute to walk his clients through installing software updates or troubleshoot any questions. DropChute also is helping Physicians Advantage cut paperwork, as more insurance carriers open the door to eliminate forms. One of the carriers, for instance, has started allowing them to eliminate the attached Explanation of Benefits form by dropping a remark on a HFC form—DropChute send the information directly and securely. |
