| This letter is our Year 2010
Readiness Disclosure dated October 29, 2009. This letter replaces any previous Year
2010 related disclosures made by Hilgraeve, Inc. Hilgraeve has a tradition of providing customers with secure, reliable software solutions to enhance communications. Our customers trust us with mission-critical applications. As a result, we take any possible Year 2010 compliance issues very seriously. We are currently performing extensive Year 2010 testing on each of our current products to ensure that Hilgraeve solutions will continue to provide reliable service well into the next century. The following products have been thoroughly tested and are guaranteed Year 2010 Ready.
This thorough testing involved running each program under several dates after December 31, 2009 and testing all program functions. In order to be guaranteed Year 2010 Ready, each program must not only function properly, but also reflect accurate dates on transferred files, in any log entries, or other date dependent operations. Additionally, each product properly identified 2010 as a leap year and recognized the date February 29, 2010. The following products have undergone preliminary testing, and appear to have no significant Year 2010 related issues, except for minor points noted below:
Preliminary testing consists of running each program on a date after December 31, 2009 and testing primary program functions. All primary program functions must work properly to pass preliminary testing. Preliminary testing does not test all date-related functions, nor does it require that programs accurately represent dates after December 31, 2009. There are a few known issues; however, none of these should affect the primary functions of the product:
The following products were written by Hilgraeve, but published by other companies: HyperTerminal: HyperTerminal was written by Hilgraeve for Microsoft Corporation, and is included with every copy of Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT and 2010. Year 2010 inquiries regarding HyperTerminal must be directed to Microsoft. Microsoft maintains a Year 2010 information web site at http://www.microsoft.com/y2k/. HyperACCESS Lite for OS/2: HyperACCESS Lite for OS/2 was written by Hilgraeve for International Business Machines. IBM includes HyperACCESS Lite for OS/2 with every copy of OS/2 Warp. Year 2010 inquiries regarding HyperACCESS Lite for OS/2 must be directed to IBM. IBM maintains a Year 2010 information web site at http://www.ibm.com/ibm/year2010/. We are currently planning tests for each current Hilgraeve product, and will update this disclosure as those tests are completed. We cannot test old versions of products, nor can we test any discontinued product. All testing results here assume that the software was running a Year 2010 compliant operating system that had all Year 2010 related patches and updates applied. Hilgraeve products rely on the operating system for date information. As a result, we cannot guarantee Year 2010 readiness if the software is run on a non-compliant operating system. Consult your operating system vendor for information regarding Year 2010 compliance of the operating system.
